For the life of me, I can’t figure out why New Year’s resolutions get a bad reputation. I think any excuse to reflect, evaluate and build a plan of action is not only admirable as hell, but fun, too. For at least a few weeks, it seems everyone is working hard to improve their lives. It doesn’t matter, to me, that a lot of resolutions are never realized. For every thousand that fall flat, certainly a handful are fulfilled. That’s heartwarming.
2015 was a hell of a year and one I’ll remember forever. 2016 is poised to be the same. The next few days are going to be spent brainstorming, coming up with some resolutions for the 366 days (leap year!) of 2016. I suggest you do the same. The first step to fixing a problem is acknowledging that there is one. Cliche, but true. And a good thing to remember heading into the new year.
