Hello! Happy Friday! How’s it going?
It’s been fun over here, but a little chaotic. My little brother is staying with me for the week and I live in a small 1 bedroom, so he’s on the pullout couch (which actually is really comfy and I’ve gotten rave reviews on it from people who have slept over). The issue is I don’t want to wake him up so I try to be quiet in the morning and tip toe around to get iced coffee and my stuff together for running. That doesn’t sound like a big deal but –
I AM VERY LOUD.
I’m a loud talker and beyond that for some reason when I try to be quiet I manage to drop stuff and knock into things and make a lot of noise. Sorry kid.
I gave him ear plugs and he’s been able to sleep through a lot of my racket. Having him sleep in the room and me on the couch wouldn’t help because of the layout (the bathroom and bedroom are connected without a door/hallway).
And I’m sure he appreciates me doing 21 Day Fix workouts while watching Bravo and other random TV on blast later in the day. Again, sorry kid.
Luckily he’s a good sport!
And I try to stay on his good side by feeding him well.
Yesterday’s workout was a bust because I had an early appointment so I meant to do it later in the day. That never happened because I was out till close to 10pm getting a new parking pass for my complex. I guess they had a group day to do it while I was out of town this weekend and this was my last change before they threatened to start towing people.
Womp womp. But I’d rather get a parking pass / NOT be towed and skip a workout. Saves money!
You know what else saves money?
Buying a watermelon from Costco. And this baby was probably the BIGGEST WATERMELON I’ve ever seen!!!
I usually only need one big tupperware for a watermelon. But this filled up two completely!!! And I ate a ton while cutting it, obviously.
I also spotted this book “Ginger for Health” at Costco. I feel like that should be the name of my next blog (if it’s about health and not the 101 other random things I think I should talk about depending on my mood)…
Even though I didn’t workout, I was a whirlwind of productivity yesterday in all other areas of my life!
I got new bio pics done for the blog, wrote a ton, hung out with my brother and got my car serviced. While I was waiting for my car I walked around the area and finally came upon the new shopping center Los Olivos Marketplace.
There is a big sign off the freeway advertising the new community of the same name and I always think it’s funny since it’s so close to my last name (Olivas). It wasn’t a super common last name while I was growing up so it catches my attention. I didn’t have time to shop around, but I’ll be back!
Now I’m sipping some Spark and headed to a doctor’s appointment. See you in a bit!
Question: Do you have a good place for overnight guests? Do you have people stay over a lot?
No one ever stays over, maybe once a year? My place is just not guest friendly.
