Hello! I’m working with Skulpt Chisel to talk about their body fat and muscle measurement tool. It is pretty awesome and I’m excited to share! I’ve tried a few different body fat and muscle measurement tools in the past and this one is super easy to use.
The Skulpt Chisel tool walks you through where to put the sensors on your body. It reads it within seconds and then shows you the next area to put it on your muscle. Then, it reads off the results AND also beams them to your phone so you can look over the information and see your progress on your phone anytime. (It works for iphone and android.)

You do it for each side of your body so you can track any imbalances too – that is really important to help prevent injuries! (Injuries are the worst so if that can prevent you from being benched from working out or running for a bit it’s really worth it.)
After I did the initial measurements and got my overall body fat and muscle quality I went through the individual muscles to see where I was the strongest and weakest. I think this is super interesting!! Because I’m a runner I spend most of my workout time on my legs. It was interesting to see how my quads fared versus my biceps and other areas of my body.
This is so eye opening and makes me want to really stick with my new training plan of more strength training. I’ve been doing more strength for a few weeks now and will follow up with this tool every few to check progress.
After the measurements I did my own at home strength workout since it was on the agenda for my plan.
I also love that it gives us another marker to assess our bodies but it’s not about weight or size of clothing. It’s good to just stick with the facts of ‘this is where my muscles are right now’ and I can make them stronger and/or I can work on lowering body fat – but it doesn’t make me think of my body in a negative way like a scale sometimes can.
I’ve always suspected my quads have a lot more muscle and strength than my glutes and hamstrings so it’s extra informative for me as a runner to check that out.

I have used the electronic scales at the gym and calipers. This is so much easier. Plus, since I have it at home I can use it to track my progress since I tend to avoid the scale.
