Hello! Today I have a delicious adult beverage recipe to share with you. It’s super easy, but also tastes pretty amazing if I do say so myself (yes, I am saying so after drinking one or two).
I am the kinda person who loves a good cocktail, but has no idea how to make anything fancy at home. So after I purchased several bottles of cake flavored vodka (they were on super sale and I can’t say no to sales… or vodka) I brainstormed how to make something delicious.
This Adult Strawberry Milk only requires a few ingredients and doesn’t have any pricey liqueurs that you’re only going to use once a year and forget about until the bottle gets too sticky to open again. And then you’re super bummed because you thought you finally had a reason to use up that random blueberry liqueur you only used a drop of and when it doesn’t open you just take a shot of tequila and yell at your cat for not reminding you it was there… but I digress.
Adult Strawberry Milk Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced
- 2 Tb sugar or stevia
- 1.5 oz. vanilla or cake vodka
- 1 cup milk (I used fat free dairy milk)
- Ice
Directions: Place strawberries in bowl and sprinkle sugar over them, mix. Let them marinate for about 20 minutes. Then, smash them with the back of a fork or whatever masher you have.
Add strawberry/sugar mix to a shaker or blender with milk, vodka and ice. Blend or shake. Serve over ice.
Optional: Garnish with whipped cream and strawberries.
Serves two normal people or one Monican who is staying in for the night watching Pitch Perfect.
Enjoy!
Question: Strawberry or Chocolate Milk?
I had this debate over and over in my brain movies the last week trying to decide which recipe to create with the vodka. I went with strawberry because it seems more appropriate for Spring.
