I always talk about the fact that I have fantastic people in my life. And, man… I’m saying it again for a reason.
I was talking to one of those fantastic people on Friday as I was driving home from work. Now when Donna called, I wanted to talk to her… so I packed up my things and left the office to chat with her on my way home from work.
We always have REAL conversations, and Friday was no exception.
While there were a ton of current events (from our lives, not the news) that we talked about, the thing I remember most was a question she asked me:
Do You Think All of This is Happening Because of the Happiness Tour?
The “this” she referenced was the amazing summer I’ve had and all the beautiful opportunities that have come my way. I mean, who has a summer like this…
Napa / Sonoma – May 2015
I got to visit with these lovelies in Wine Country in May, once again solidifying that co-workers can become the most amazing friends.
My Niece Visiting Colorado – June 2015
I spent four days with this beautiful tween, a very special weekend for the two of us that I think we’ll both remember forever.
Fitbloggin 2015 – June 2015
Because it’s always amazing for my soul, I got to spend a long weekend with these goal-diggers, bloggers, and social media influencers. And, once again… I was changed for the better.
Milwaukee – July 2015
When do you get to take an all-expense paid vacation with your dearest friends and the most generous brand? For me, it was July of this year. A once in a lifetime experience, thanks to Kohl’s.
Rockstar – July 2015
I haven’t even written about this trip yet… but I also went to California for another Rockstar adventure with my company. This time we went to Hollywood for another amazing event! I may still write about this…
Las Vegas – August 2015
Spending three days with this lady in Las Vegas was a fantastic way to celebrate the last month of summer, especially when we got to see our favorite artist perform.
New York – August 2015
And, lastly, but certainly not least… I spent a few days in NYC with my new friends at Jenny Craig launching their new food line (which is amazing!) and promoting their new Simple Inspirations recipe contest! I’ll be sharing all of the details about this trip on Monday. Stay tuned…
I’m going to argue that all of the events above (and so many more that I didn’t chronicle here on NTTC) didn’t have something to do with the Happiness Tour I’m on… I’d argue that they have EVERYTHING to do with the Happiness Tour I’m on!
As the summer comes to an end, I’ve paused in a state of complete gratitude. A little sleepy from all the travel, but in the end, completely worth it…. every moment of it. Every late night planning. Every early morning waking up with the lights still on. Every trek through the airport. I’d even say, every crawl through traffic.
Every single bit of it.
It’s been an amazing summer, and as Labor Day marks the moment where we officially turn the corner toward fall… I ask my favorite question: How Does It Get Any Better Than This?
