Hello! Happy Monday. Let’s do this!! I really love new weeks, new years, new candles… all the new stuff to motivate me for a fresh start. Ya dig?
I’m still on east coast time so I woke up at 5am. The sun wasn’t up yet so I slowly got ready to run and headed out the door for 10 miles. It feels so good to run at home again. Can’t beat it.
Last night I had the most intense cannot stop it gimme gimme craving for Panda Express. Random, right?
And my fortune cookie was empty?? Whaaat does that mean? I say it means I can determine my own destiny.
Vegas actually came and wanted some of my chicken and I don’t always share with him but I was so happy from my food that I did. But, I didn’t do it like this… I just tossed it at him and told him to stop taking up the whole bed at night.
Vegas’ destined to sleep on the couch all day, I can just feel it.
Post run breakfast included some Monic-Os! How awesome is this?!! The lovely people at Cheerios sent me a box with my name on it! Did you hear Cheerios is gluten free now? They taste exactly the same though.
What I’m listening to right now on my run…
Confession… listening to the Serial podcast about Adnan Syed and Hae Min Lee completely turned me into a weirdo. It was my FIRST podcast ever and I loved it. The writing was really good and the story pulls you in to keep listening. So when it was over I felt a hole in my life. I thought lil ol’ Sarah Koenig was my running buddy telling me a (very sad) story while we ran.
After I was done with Serial I discovered Undisclosed, a continuation on the case. And somehow I discovered Serial Dynasty (which I feel is not really credible and a little too dramatic, but I’m desperate for friends so I listen to it). And through that I discovered the Generation Why podcast (which I feel is just two guys’ opinions on different cases and also not credible on a journalistic or legal level most of the time).
Buuuut, from that I discovered the Maura Murray case. She is a girl who went missing almost 10 years ago and two guys are making a documentary about the case. While they are doing the documentary they are also doing a podcast = Maura Murray doc. So, now I’m listening to that.
I need to start listening to books or something, but this has me sucked in for now.
Question: What is your favorite podcast or book on tape? Any other suggestions?
